It is better for children to grow up in the countryside than in a big city. Do you agree or disagree? Use specific reasons and examples to develop your essay.
Parents all over the world want to see their children have a better future and be well-behaved. When children are well-behaved, parents have less stress and have more time for work. Many parents don’t have enough time to take care of their children because both have to work. This gives them stress; they have to think of a way to keep their children safe in a good environment. However, some parents believe in a big city has the model equipment's, the school is closer, and teachers are quite capable. Parents can hire nannies for a part time job easily to look after their children. Indeed, education is provided the same quality system in the countryside. The labor cost is much cheaper in the countryside as well. It is therefore betters for children to grow up in the countryside than in a big city because they can enjoy nature, be safer and have better manners.
First, it is better for children to grow up in the countryside because they can enjoy nature. Nature can make children feel relaxed and peaceful in mind. Children can breathe fresh air all day, can see sunrises in the early morning and sunsets in the late afternoon, and see birds flying in the blue sky. The sunshine and smell of leaves will put children in a good mood. They can hear the sound of the birds and can see trees swaying in the wind. In my hometown, Siem Reap, I can see many trees along the road to Angkor Wat temple. All this help children think clearly and be calm. The nature in countryside will make children feel less stressed and more than feel love living in the big city by being around green plants, fresh air and the quiet early morning.
Second, it is better for the children to grow up in the countryside because it is safer. Children can relax more when they play outside without worrying about traffic. The countryside has less accidents since there is less traffic on the road. It is easy to walk home from school without feeling nervous on the side of the road. For example, in my hometown, children usually finish school at five and they have to walk home from school. There are fewer cars, less motorbikes and less bicycles. The children don’t need to worry about having an accident. Furthermore, the poison smoke from cars and industries can cause breathing problems for children. In the countryside, children can avoid this pollution from vehicles and big industries. It is therefore better for the children to grow up in the country because the environment is safer.
Finally, neighbors in the countryside are often nicer and friendlier to children. The attitude of neighbors in the city are usually arrogant and children can learn that easily. It seems that, children raised in the city are not well-behaved and well-mannered like children raised in the countryside. For example, my relative came from Phnom Penh to visit us last year for the Khmer New Year. We could see this difference between my niece who lives in our hometown and the niece from Phnom Penh during dinner. My niece was friendlier and respected, but the niece from Phnom Penh didn’t talk a lot and was not polite. Children who grow up in the countryside have better manners than those in the city.
In conclusion, it is better for children to grow up in the countryside than in a big city because they can enjoy peace and quiet, be safer and develop better manners. Children can enjoy themselves outside of the house with nature surrounding them. The less busy road brings fewer accidents and especially safe on the way back home. Children also have better attitudes towards others because they have better neighbors. Children often copy attitudes from older people, so it is better to raise them in the countryside where people are friendlier. Indeed, parents need to spend more time for their children than work. If parents don’t raise children in the right place, they will become less confident when they grow up.
